The Basics & Secrets of Vehicle Aerodynamics by Paul T. Glessner, M.S. Paul T. Glessner conducts a seminar to explain and expound on the mysterious powers of airflow over road vehicles. Designed for the interested novice as well as the technically-minded, the 8-hour seminar covers almost anything you would need to hold your own at the race track - or at the dinner table - on the subjects of downforce (DF), drag (CD), wind tunnels, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), flow-visualization, vehicle coastdown, aerodynamic devices on commercial and racing vehicles and more. Paul breaks up the slightly technical content with many real world application stories. Cost for the seminar is $450, which includes a light breakfast, a catered lunch, a respected automotive aerodynamic reference book by Dr. Joe Katz (used in conjunction with the seminar curriculum), printed material, snacks plus plenty of time for some one on one Q&A with Paul and a potential Q&A session with a well known automotive guest at the seminar's end. Past guests have included John Dinkel, ex-R&T chief editor, and Paul VanValkenburgh, past Chevrolet race engineer and inventor. Guests are more likely to appear at Southern California venues. To reserve your seat, mail either a personal/bank cashier's check made out to "Vehicle Aerodynamics Consultants, Inc." with an initial deposit of $200 by 15 days before the event's date (call if last minute) to cover book shipment, catering and room constraints to:
